Coisas de Minas: Aranha gigante / Giant spider

Uma aranha bem grande em sua teia, que encontrei quando fiz o trecho do Caminho da Fé (versão tupiniquim do Caminho de Santiago), entre Inconfidentes e Borda da Mata, em Minas Gerais:
A pretty big spider in its web, that I found when I did the stretch of Caminho da Fé (Path of Faith, a version of Camino de Santiago) between cities Inconfidentes and Borda da Mata, in Brazilian state Minas Gerais:

O aracnídeo era grande, mas não tão gigante que seja tamanho da janela da casinha ao fundo, hein?

The arachnid was big, but not so huge that it is the window size of the house in the background, huh?

Helloween, Dark Ride - camiseta a doar

Arrumando umas coisas em casa, depois de muito tempo "desaparecida" na bagunça, achei essa camiseta da banda Helloween, do álbum Dark Ride.
When I was organizing  some stuff at home, after a long time "missing" in the mess, I found this t-shirt of band Helloween / Dark Ride album.

Como eu tenho duas delas (uma eu comprei na própria turnê quando eles vieram ao Brasil e a outra ganhei de presente anos depois), estou doando, a quem se interessar, essa que é mais nova.
As I have two of them (one I bought in own tour when they came to Brazil and the other I gained from gift years later), I'm donating this that is newer to those who are interested.

Alguém se interessa? Se sim, mande-me uma mensagem. Para entregar o presente, prefiro encontrar em algum metrô de São Paulo ou na Avenida Paulista.

Falando em encontrada ("found", em Inglês) e em banda de metal e sendo esse o post número 404 (que éo número de um erro HTTP comum que acontece quando uma página web não é encontrada no servidor), lembrei dessa imagem que recebi há tempos por e-mail sobre esse erro 404 de "page not found", mas fazendo alusão ao guitarrista Jimmy Page da banda Led Zeppelin:
Talking about in "found" and about metal bands and this post being the 404th (which is the number of a common HTTP error that happens when a web page is not found on the server), I remembered this image that I received long ago by e-mail about this 404 error ("page not found"), but making reference to Led Zeppelin's guitarist, Jimmy Page:

Coisas de Minas: Estrada dos Santos Negros / Black Saints Road

Lembram quando falei sobre a Santa Ifigênia (ou Santa Efigênia, como alguns escrevem) em outro post? (vejam aqui).
Do you remember when I talked about Saint Ephigenia (or Iphigenia, as translated by Google) in another post? (see here).

Então, naquela ocasião, fazendo o Caminho da Fé (uma versão brasileira do Caminho de Santiago de Compostela) nós passamos pela Estrada dos Santos Negros, a chamada "Estrada Velha" que liga Ouro Fino a Inconfidentes, ambas cidades do sul de Minas Gerais, e vimos a imagem dessa santa e também imagens de outros santos católicos africanos ou afrodescendentes:
So, at that time, making the Caminho da Fé ("Way of Faith", a Brazilian version of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela), we walked down the of "Black Saints Road", called "Old Road" which connects Ouro Fino and Inconfidentes, both cities in southern Minas Gerais, and we saw the picture of this saint and also images of other Africans or African descent Catholic saints:

Coisas de Araçoaiba da Serra: Cobra II / Snake II

Lembram sobre uma serpente que falei que encontrei em um sítio em Araçoiaba da Serra, pequena cidade do interior de São Paulo? (cliquem aqui).
Do you remember what I said about a snake I found in a ranch in the Araçoiaba da Serra, small inland city of São Paulo? (click here). 

Bem, aquela outra cobra estava viva, e foi capturada com cuidado. Mas essa aqui, que foi encontrada anos antes no mesmo lugar, já estava morta quando a encontramos:

E, embora parece, eu não mastiguei o réptil. Isso deve fazer mal...

Um Capitão América dentro do cinema para ver VingadoresA Captain America in the cinema to watch Avengers

Meu irmão levou o filho dele de 5 anos ao cinema para assistir o filme dos Vingadores logo que o mesmo foi lançado nos cinemas. O guri foi até vestido de Capitão América, com máscara e escudo.
My brother took his son 5 years old to the cinema to watch the Avengers movie as soon as it was released in theaters. The kid was dressed like Captain America, with mask and shield.

E como ele era pequeno ainda, ele cochilou um pouco durante a sessão, ainda mais quando a trama do filme ainda se desenrolava antes das cenas de ação.
And as he was still small, he napped a bit during the session, even further when the film's plot was still forming before action scenes.

Ah, mas quando ele viu o Capitão América na tela, ele acordou, se empolgou e lançou o escudinho dele longe. Nem sei se pegou na cabeça de alguém...
Ah, but when he saw Captain America on screen, he awoke, got excited and threw his toy shield away. I do not know if it took someone's head...

Também, com uma fantasia legal assim, até eu me empolgaria durante o filme!

Coisas de Minas: Táxi Fusca Antigo / Old Beetle Taxi

Na praça central da cidade mineira de Borda da Mata, onde fica a catedral de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, vi essa relíquia estacionada, aparentemente ainda em funcionamento:
In the central square of the city Borda da Mata (something like "Edge of Woods"), in the state Minas Gerais, where is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, I saw this relic parked, and apparently still in operation:

Não cheguei a utilizar o serviços desse automóvel, pois minha noiva e eu estávamos nessa cidade enquanto fazíamos um trecho do Caminho da Fé (versão brasileira do Caminho de Santiago de Compostela), logo, o nosso objetivo não era andar de táxi nem de condução, e sim caminhar 10, 20 ou 30km por dia.
I actually didn't use the services of this car because my fiancee and I were in this city while we made a section of the Caminho da Fé (the "Way of Faith", a Brazilian version of the Camino de Santiago), thus our goal was not taking a taxi or a bus, but to walk 10, 20 or 30km per day.
